Frequently Asked Questions
How often do I need an infill?
This is totally dependant on your natural lash shed, you lose around 2-5 natural lashes per day. To ensure your lash extensions stay full it’s advised an infill every 2-3 weeks. However, some clients can exceed this and go up to 5 weeks before requiring a fill.
Will lash extensions ruin my natural lashes?
NO. This is a myth, as long as the extensions are applied correctly and you look after them (no picking or pulling at them) they will never ruin your natural lashes.
What do I need to avoid with having lash extensions?
Oils!!! Any form of oil will break down the bond with the glue. Glycol, Anti-depressants, Argon Oil, Skin/Hair/Nail supplements, HRT (Hormonal changes), Steroids, Intense Face Creams, Mascara & Heavy Makeup, Eyedrops, Facials, Sun beds (for the first 48 hours!), Swimming Regularly, Thyroid, False Lash Strip Glue, Saunas, Acne Meds & Self Tan Lotion.
Are all Lash Extensions the same?
When it comes to getting semi-permanent eyelashes, it’s not a one size fits all application. There are so many different curls, lengths and thicknesses to choose from so it’s really important you do your research and figure out kind of eyelashes you want.
Which type of Lash extensions would suit me?
This totally depends on the type of look you’re wanting to achieve! Hybrid lashes are the perfect in between of 50% handmade Russian fans & 50% classic 1:1 application & Russian lashes are full drama, glamorous look but super fluffy & lightweight.
What days/hours do you work?
I am super flexible, I work around my clients so if you’re stuck in a 9-5 job in the day I can do evening appointments. I try to keep my weekends free but I am happy to work if needed.
How do I take my makeup off with lash extensions?
Micellar water!! This is the answer to all your questions, this is lash extension safe and can be purchased from B&M for 99p! With eyeshadow I highly advise using a Q-Tip (cotton bud) soaked in micellar water to gently remove the eyeshadow from your lash line.
